4253 Locomotive Company Ltd has released the latest update detailing the work carried out in January 2022.

I removed the worn copper seal ring from the cylinder cover. After cleaning the groove, I put in a new seal. When space is available, attach the cover to the cylinder block and tighten it to make sure the gasket is installed correctly. If it is installed correctly, it can be re-installed. The next step was to clean the cover and prepare it for painting. The vacuum pump operating rod and some bushings of the regulator have been machined. The handbrake actuating screw has received a new cotter pin and washer.

In Heritage Boiler Steam Services, the threads in the holes in the smoke tube of the firebox were re-tapped with the installation of the first steel and copper braces.

Most of the work done at 5668 in January 2022 was about water tanks running beside the boiler. Rivets are attached to the inner back panel, back panel, and bottom. They have brought in some members of the team to fill difficult positions, and they have evolved and made great strides.

Welding of the cover strip and subsequent grinding of the weld seam has begun. The sanitation of the water level in the tank is complete. In the bunker, the rear panel of the roof was so badly corroded that the team had to cut it off by first removing the lamp bracket and then manufacturing a replacement panel. 4253 Locomotive Company Ltd, whether a shareholder or a volunteer, is always looking for additional supporters to help with gala repairs and stall repairs.
