On January 26, Ricardrail met with a team of six projects to build a new steam locomotive to discuss the nature and requirements of risk assessment that Ricardrail requires for mainline certification.

Members of the B17 Steam Locomotive Trust, A1 Trust, Patriot Group, Clan Project, Holden G5 Group, and General Steam Locomotive Restoration Association Project attended the meeting. This was probably the first time all project teams had sat around the table to discuss common concerns and issues. The B17 and A1 Trust have previously worked with Ricardo Rail to verify design and manufacturing consistency at each stage of construction work.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the risk assessment for submission to Ricardorer and the adequacy of using a common format. This makes it easier to ensure that all submissions contain relevant information, speeding up the process and ultimately making it cheaper. I had the opportunity to try out examples during the meeting, but each project encountered similar issues.

During the lunch break, the team will tour the CTL Seal facility to see some of the larger renewable energy projects that CTL Seal is involved in and the two locomotives B17 No.61672 Spirit of Sandringham and Clan No.72010. Gave an opportunity. Hengist.

While the main task was related to risk assessment related to both locomotives and related decision-making processes, project groups need to exchange information on all aspects of their work with suppliers, contractors, etc. It became more and more clear that there was. .. The group agreed to continue holding these meetings approximately every six months. The group also thanked the CTL seal for hospitality and the next invitation.
