The ST Nigel Gresley Locomotive Trust has announced that LNER A4 No.60007 Sanigel Gresley will retire on the Severn Valley Railway.
The details are still inadequate and still being discussed, but once the streamlined strip with the crew's locomotive service is complete, you should see 60007 towards Kidderminster, who can complete the test.
Trevor Camp said the steam pipes are now in and the front has been reassembled.
Once this is complete, you can run the hydraulic test.
This is great news for A4 fans. It means that the time is approaching when you can enjoy the sights and sounds of A4 again on the main line. A spokesman for the Nigel Gresley Locomotive Trust said: We can confirm that we are planning to run at the SVR, but the details are still under discussion. "
