Sudbury Hill is the 90th step few station

A new lift has been installed at Sudbury Hill Subway Station on the Piccadilly Line, providing step-free access from the street to the platform. Sudbury Hill Station is a Grade II designated station and now has a new elevator with improved signs and tactile floors across the entire length of both platforms. With this improvement, passengers with restricted travel will have access to both the train station and the wider transportation network, and will have access to slopes to make it easier for passengers to get on and off. At Transport for London (TfL)'s Turnupandgo service, staff can assist you with your trip. This work not only supports people with disabilities, but also makes it easier for people with heavy luggage, strollers and toddlers to travel. As part of the upgrade, the ticket halls have also been updated, old unused ticket offices have been removed, and improvements have been made while carefully maintaining the look and feel of Charles Holden's original 1930s train station. The work of carefully selecting bricks for the construction of elevator shafts to match the rest of the station, and new windows specially designed to complement existing windows. After work at Sudbury Hill Station was completed, the Osterley Subway Station, also on the Piccadilly Line, became a stepless extension at Nine Elms, with stepless access to the Battersea Power Station in October 2021. Further stepless TfL projects will continue until 2022, providing complete stepless access to the Northern Lines of Knightsbridge and Moorgate. TfL will also work on stepless access to frequently used stations in Zone 1. This will be partially stepless in 2022, including banks with only the Northern Line and DLR interchanges, and Paddington with only the Baika Roux Line.
