The Bahamas Locomotive Association has sent Rail Advent the latest information on the Coal Tank 1054 overhaul work taking place at Ingrow West on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.

The work was focused on the 45596 Bahamas, but when the work was completed, attention was returned to the LNWR coal tank 1054.

The inside of the safety valve was installed along with the blower valve and piping.

Injector feed shutoffs were mounted on the door panels, manifolds were rebuilt with newly readjusted shutoffs, and then these were reloaded into the boiler.

The boiler is full and has passed the steam test conducted in November. I had to convince him to close the control valve, but the safety valve was successfully adjusted to 150psi.

I had to do some minor caulking, but in general the tests worked.

Finally, tank and screen work, cleaning, tank filling and boiler band painting were done.
