Luxury train operator Northern Bell has announced when 34067 Tangmere will begin operating its trains.
The locomotive is currently in the final stages of overhaul at the WCRC in Carnforth, but Northern Bell today informed Rail Advent that the Battle of Britain locomotive will carry Northern Bell on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
The locomotive, which weighs about 86 tons, will carry the rake of the Pullman Mk2 vehicle from Leeds to Carlyle on Steam Special.
The train departs Leeds on diesel service at 8:15 am and then calls Huddersfield (8:40 am) and Manchester at 9:20 am. Learn more about

"We are delighted to see such a great locomotive first run in 2022," said David Pitts, owner of Northern Bell.
